Male Arrested After Search Warrant- Police Warn of Dangerous Seized Drug
A search warrant was executed last evening by members of the Owen Sound Police drug unit, criminal investigation branch and the High Enforcement Action Team (H.E.A.T) and Community Oriented Response and Enforcement (C.O.R.E) units, at a residence in the 1000 Block of 3rd Avenue East.

Two Females Arrested on Drug Charges Following Search Warrant
Last night members of the Owen Sound Police Drug Unit executed a search warrant at downtown area apartment. The search warrant was a result of an ongoing investigation into the trafficking of prescription drugs within the City.

Collision sends 3 to Hospital
At 10:50 am today, police, fire and ambulance services attended to a collision that occurred at 9th Street West and 2nd Avenue West. The collision involved a northbound Hyundai Sante Fe sport utility and a westbound Dodge Caravan. The force of the collision was so severe that it caused the Caravan to flip onto its roof and collide with a utility pole at corner of the intersection.

Overnight Winter Parking By-Law in Effect Tomorrow

Significant Quantity of Money Located – Owen Sound Police Searching For Owner
On Tuesday November 15th, 2011 a staff member at a local store in Owen Sound located an envelope containing a significant amount of cash within the store. The cash was turned over to the store owner who held it in safekeeping expecting the owner to return and claim it.

Man Charged For Harassing Phone Calls
In late August of this year, Police began to receive complaints from area female real estate agents of unwanted text messages. The messages contained sexual overtones which were disturbing to the recipients. A short time after police commenced investigating the calls stopped and ceased for the next six weeks.

Hit and Run
Three people were taken to the hospital after their car was struck from behind by a truck which then fled the scene. On Saturday October 29th 2011 at around 11:35 AM, a small Oldsmobile with four occupants was stopped at 3rd Avenue West, preparing to turn left onto 28th Street West. A full-sized pick-up truck that was towing a landscaping-type trailer was travelling northbound on 3rd Avenue West, and struck the stopped car.
