The Owen Sound Police Service is recruiting for the position of Police Constable. Applications from experienced police officers are not being considered at this time.
All applicants must meet the minimum qualifications for a police officer as identified in the Ontario Police Services Act. In addition, candidates must possess a valid Ontario driver’s licence (Class G or higher), have no criminal convictions and be certified in standard First Aid and CPR (Level “C”).
Applicants must also possess a valid OACP Constable Selection System certificate to be considered a qualified applicant. Those selected for an interview will be required to attend Owen Sound at their own expense. The successful candidate will be subject to a comprehensive background check as well as physical and psychological assessments.
