Man jailed after attacking bar staff

On January 23rd at 1:00 a.m., members of the High Enforcement Action Team were patrolling the downtown area when they observed staff from a licenced establishment struggling with a male. Investigation at the scene revealed that the man had attended the establishment, however was eventually refused service and asked to leave.

The man ignored requests to leave from the staff then punched at two of the staff members. The man was restrained and turned over to police.

In addition to spending the night in jail the man was charged with failing to leave the premises when directed and being intoxicated in a public place. He was later released.
