Break And Enter Arrests (Updated)

A 17 year old Owen Sound male was arrested for an outstanding incident involving a break and enter into a residence situated in the area of 21st St West that originally occurred on June 16, 2010.

The youth who cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act has been remanded into custody for a court appearance on June 21, 2010. A second 17 year old male party has also been identified and an Arrest Warrant is being sought for his apprehension.  

UPDATE: The second 17 year old male referred to in June 19th’s and June 17th’s media releases has been located and brought into custody.

The wanted male was located shortly after 2:00 a.m. in the city’s downtown core by a member of the police service’s CORE Unit. The young man was detained in custody at Owen Sound Police Services and subsequently released on his own recognizance following his audio remand hearing this morning. He must return to Youth Court on June 29th, 2010 to answer to the charges of break, enter & theft and failing to comply with conditions of his probation order.
 
This Owen Sound youth cannot be named under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
