High Risk Sex Offender Re-Locating in Owen Sound

June 22, 2010

Subsequent to a community safety notice issued by the Ontario Provincial Police earlier this week, high-risk sex offender Glen Douglas LEE, 62 years, has moved from the Stone Tree apartments, just south of Owen Sound and is looking to re-locate in Owen Sound.

Owen Sound Police confirmed that LEE had moved from the Stone Tree apartments and temporarily re-located at an apartment at 995 16th Street East, Owen Sound.

The Owen Sound Police have been in contact with LEE and have confirmed that he has since left 995 16th Street East and is seeking other housing options in Owen Sound.

Lee currently has no fixed address.

Inspector Wurfel states, “The priority of the Owen Sound Police Service is the safety of our community. We will continue to provide community safety notice updates, as deemed prudent in the interest of public safety”.

Lee moved to the Owen Sound area on June 10 after serving a 21-month sentence for sexual assault involving young males.

Lee's criminal history spans over 24 years, with his first offence in 1986. Lee’s victims have included young males and males with intellectual challenges.

An updated description of Lee is, five-foot-nine-inches tall, 236 pounds, blue eyes, shaven white hair and a scar on the left side of his face. (See updated photo).

LEE remains on probation for the next three years. He is banned from public parks or swimming areas where children under 16 are present or "can reasonably be expected to be present," or from daycare centres, school grounds, playgrounds or community centres.
