11th Annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Polar Bear Dip
On Saturday, March 20th, 2010 Owen Sound Police Services is hosting its 11th Annual Polar Bear Dip fundraiser for the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. Registration commences at 12:00 p.m. in the front lobby of the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre. The Dip occurs at 1:00 p.m. at the beach located immediately north of the Community Centre's playground. Awards ceremonies and prizes will occur in the front lobby at 2:00 p.m.
Over the past 10 years the Polar Bear Dip has helped raise in excess of $52,000 for Special Olympics Ontario. Funds raised supports year round training and athletic competitions for over 16,000 children and adults with an intellectual disability.
To participate in the Owen Sound Police Services 11th Annual Polar Bear Dip all you need to do is register and agree to a waiver form available on-line at www.osoinc.com. Follow the Donate and Sponsor link to the 11th Annual Polar Bear Dip link. This year participants can set up their own electronic fundraising page, set their own personal fundraising goals, and contact everyone in their email distribution lists.
For a hard-copy waiver form and pledge sheet please visit the front desk of Owen Sound Police Services. Minimum donations of $75.00 are requested.
While the polar Bear Dip fundraiser continues to grow and raise the fundraising bar, what remains consistent is the ability for the Polar Bear Dip to inspire fun. We hope to see you there to support this very worthwhile cause.
