  • Job Posting - Chief of Police

With a resident population just over 22 000, Owen Sound is the largest urban community in Grey and Bruce Counties, serving as a regional hub for people accessing medical and health care, cultural, recreational or social activities, employment, and education – resulting in a daytime population that may exceed 40,000.
With the upcoming retirement of Chief Sornberger, the Owen Sound Police Service has commenced the search for a successor who will build on the reputation for innovative leadership and community engagement for which the Service is recognized. The new Chief will bring to the role a distinguished track record as a seasoned police executive, known for working in partnership with the community, for an innovative, business-oriented approach to the delivery of police services – and above all for a commitment to the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
