Bruce Grey Child & Family Services (formerly CAS)Bruce Grey Child and Family Services (BGC&FS) are dedicated to the quality of life, safety and well-being of vulnerable children and youth, honouring diversity, culture and heritage. BGC&FS works under the mandate of the Ontario Child & Family Services Act and is responsible for protecting children from abuse, neglect and other forms of maltreatment. They receive phone calls from both community members and professionals who are concerned about the safety and well-being of children and youth. Keystone Child, Youth & Family ServicesKeystone is a child, youth and family service agency providing a range of prevention and counselling programs, at no charge, for residents of Bruce and Grey Counties. They have a dedicated team of 120 service professionals who listen to concerns, answer questions, and respond to needs. They are not the Children’s Aid Society and their programs are voluntary which means it is your choice to be involved with them. Their services are private, confidential, and tailor-made to your concerns. Keystone programs span family needs from pre-natal to counselling for teenagers and every stage in-between. Kids Help PhoneKids Help Phone is a Canadian and world leader known for their expertise and continuous innovation as Canada’s only 24/7 counselling and information service for young people. WES for YouthThis is an online safe space where teens in Grey Bruce and surrounding areas can express themselves and get free support from professional, non-judgmental counsellors. This one-on-one connection gives teens the opportunity to share their feelings and concerns and deal with their life issues privately in a manner familiar and comfortable to them. Resources for teens and parents are available 24/7. The online Resource Centre provides high-quality, reliable information about a variety of mental health and emotional wellness issues. Youth who are ready to tell their stories of coping with and overcoming mental health issues are encouraged and supported in contributing these to the WES For Youth Online website so that others know it’s ok to have problems and it’s ok to ask for help because Your Life is Worth Living. |
