On the afternoon of Monday September 14th, 2026, the Owen Sound Police Service responded to a report of a suspicious individual in the 600 block of 25th Street East.  As a precautionary measure, Notre Dame Catholic School and École Catholique Saint-Dominique-Savio were temporarily placed under a hold-and-secure protocol.

The precautionary protocol was lifted after police determined there was no threat to public safety.
