A 24-year-old Owen Sound man is facing multiple charges including possession of cocaine and methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking. Just after noon Wednesday the male was taken into custody on an unrelated matter but was found to be in possession of a quantity of drugs, an electronic scale, packaging materials, brass knuckles and a replica air pistol.

The street value of the seized drugs is estimated at $5300.00.

The accused will appear in bail court tomorrow charged with:

-Possession of Schedule I Cocaine for the purpose of trafficking

-Possession of Schedule I Methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking

-Possession of proceeds of crime

-Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose- 2 counts
