Owen Sound, ON – The Owen Sound Police Service is currently investigating a fatal hit-and-run collision that occurred in the early morning hours of Saturday, May 10, 2025.

At approximately 3:00 a.m., a male pedestrian was walking in the area of 5th Street East and 5th Avenue East in Owen Sound when he was struck and killed by a vehicle. The driver failed to remain at the scene.

The suspect vehicle is believed to be a white Honda Civic, model year 2016 to 2021. The vehicle is expected to have noticeable front-end damage consistent with the impact.

Investigators are appealing to the public for assistance. Anyone who may have information about the vehicle or driver involved, witnessed the collision, or has relevant dashcam, doorcam, or security footage from the area around the time of the incident is urged to contact the investigating officer, Detective Geoff Bridgeman, at 519-376-1234, extension 1189, or gbridgeman@owensoundpolice.com.
