Owen Sound Police Service Seizes Fentanyl and Cash, Two Charged
Owen Sound, ON – June 25, 2026
Members of the Owen Sound Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit and Criminal Investigations Branch have arrested two individuals, seized illicit drugs and cash proceeds of crime following the execution of a search warrant in Owen Sound.
On June 25, 2026, investigators executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a residence located in the 900 block of 2nd Avenue East. As a result of the investigation, police seized 36 grams of Fentanyl and more than $7,000 in cash proceeds of crime.
The estimated street value of the seized Fentanyl is approximately $14,800.
As a result of the investigation, a 45-year-old Owen Sound woman and a 73- year-old Owen Sound man have been charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance- Methamphetamine
- Possession of Proceeds of Crime Over $5,000
Both accused were held in custody pending a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound.
