PART TIME DATA ENTRY CLERK

Job description:
The Owen Sound Police Service has a requirement for a Part-Time Data Clerk. Under the direction of their supervisor, this position will be responsible for reception and records entry. This position involves shift work and has no guaranteed minimum number of hours per week.
This posting is open to all employees and the public.
To be considered for one of these positions the applicant must;
- Be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada
- Possess a minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Possess accurate and proficient typing skills
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills
- Be of good moral character
- Be available to work shifts (days, nights, weekends, and holidays)
- Prioritization and multi-tasking skills
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Transcription of officer reports onto the Records Management System (RMS)
- Check reports for accuracy, grammar and spelling
- Court brief assembly
- Answering telephone enquiries
- Assist the public on criminal record checks and report requests
- Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) maintenance and updating
