Just before 12:00p.m. on December 15^th, 2025, the Owen Sound Police Service responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of 14^th Street West and 2^nd Avenue West in the city of Owen Sound, ON.  The collision involved an Owen Sound Fire Truck, a school bus and a delivery van.

One student from the school bus and the driver of the fire truck were transported to Brightshores Health System in Owen Sound for minor injuries.

Police investigation has determined that the Fire Truck failed to stop for a red light striking the school bus and delivery van.  The driver of the fire truck has been charged with red light – fail to stop contrary to section 144(18) of the Highway Traffic Act.
