Police laid 65 criminal charges while responding to a higher-than-normal number of calls over the Friday-Monday time period. Included in the total were four incidents involving impaired driving. Three people were arrested for driving while intoxicated by alcohol. Each had their vehicle impounded for 7 days and their Driver’s Licence suspended for 90 days.

One male was found operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drug. On arrest he was found to be in possession of several weapons including a sawed-off shotgun, a conducted energy weapon, and a prohibited knife. He also possessed cocaine and fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking. He faces a roster of 26 charges under the Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
