In December 2023 the Owen Sound Police Service commenced an investigation into an allegation of sexual assault at a local business. Ten victims, all current or past employees of the business, were identified and provided statements to police. As a result a Bruce County resident was charged and arrested. 

On Sunday January 21, 2024, at approximately 4:00am, a uniform patrol member was conducting proactive patrols in the downtown core when he observed a motor vehicle committing a Highway Traffic Act violation. Further investigation revealed that the male driver was prohibited from driving, had a suspended driver’s licence and was wanted on a province wide warrant. A search of the motor vehicle led to a large drug seizure, and the male driver was arrested.

On Monday December 4, 2023 at 5:55 p.m. Owen Sound Police, Owen Sound Fire and Grey County Paramedics responded to a single vehicle rollover in the 1000 block of 1st Avenue East.
