Joint Forces Traffic Initiative

31 year-old David WARD arrested by Owen Sound Police and Grey County Ontario Provincial Police on August 30, 2024.

A 31 year old male of No Fixed Address, is currently wanted in relation to Robbery and Weapons Incident.

On Saturday August 24, 2024 just before 6:00 p.m. a rear-end collision occurred near the intersection of 9th Avenue East and 10th Street East, Owen Sound.   

A Dodge Caravan was waiting to make a right hand turn onto 10th Street East when a Nissan Versa rear-ended the mini- van.  There were no injuries as a result of the incident however the vehicles sustained substantial damage.  The Nissan Versa was towed from the scene.

Two males are in custody facing numerous charges and one male remains in hospital following an investigation into a robbery and weapons incident from August 18th.

Arrests Made in Rahman Homicide

Busy few days for the Owen Sound Police Service with over 300 calls for service. 

On July 16, 2024 Owen Sound Police conducted an assault investigation after a female victim reported having been intentionally poked in the eye and punched repeatedly by associates of hers, one of which was wearing brass knuckles.  The assault took place inside of a moving vehicle in the area of 16^th Street East and 9^th Avenue East, Owen Sound.

On July 18^th, 2024, at approximately 3:50 p.m., a section of 10^th Street East between 2^nd Avenue East and 3^rd Avenue East, was shut down for approximately half an hour while the Owen Sound Police Service investigated a collision that occurred involving a transport truck and a cyclist.   The collision is still under investigation by Police.
